The petroglyph above can be found at the Caguana Cerimonial Indigenous Heritage Center (Taíno Cerimonial Ball Court) in Utuado, Puerto Rico. This place is considered historically signifigant to Puerto Ricans as it allows them to connect with their distant ancestors. The ball court features a series of carvings by the Taíno tribe prior to their extinction. Measured at 160x130 feet, the massive burial site has countless Taíno artifacts and culture preserved. This is considered to be the most important site to study ancient Puerto Rican history.
